The Sounds Of High Voltage Power Lines

This is a recording of the sounds generated by a high voltage(400kV) power line, in this case, it is one located in Porjus, a small Swedish village north of the arctic circle. The sound is recorded with special contact elements, mounted in different ways on the pylon. Different sounds are heard depending on the national power consumption, but nature also influences the timbre. Wind, birds and insects can be heard on the recordings. Note that this movie contains four passages of sounds. You will probably need headphones or a good sound system to hear the impact of the sound.
